now that i have a bit of time in school, i want to remind myself of my target for this year's exams.
this sunday marks my last day in school, and in 2 weeks' time will be my first paper. Before i know it, my exams would have ended

i need 230.15 marks from the 4 subjects i'm taking this year and 2 of this needs to be >60. this averages out to an average of 57.5 per subject.

My target will be like this
MSM: 75
ISORG: 60
ME:60
CF:50

total =245

at the moment, i am almost fully prepared for all subjects with only 2 more topics that i need to pick up from scratch, that is ME:production and MSM:Soft OR. hopefully i can get it done by this week, and leave myself 10 days to practise papers for all my 4 subjects

updates: Yes i got into the 2nd round of the scdf interview. it will be on next thursday :) wish me good luck

it has been close to a month since i last updated.
been really busy la please give chance ok
so i am going to blog about what i can remember

1. my SCDF interview
i went for the scdf simulation test interview last friday.
also because of this interview, i've hurried myself to collect my school's and yellow pages testimonial already.
this being my first interview, there were lots of cock ups man.
my first-choice shirt was stained, then my 2nd-choice white shirt turn yellow.
no choice have to settle for a grey shirt, and my grey shirt had white stains but luckily it wasn't very visible. I only found out about these problems when i ironed the shirts halfway!
i prepared for the interview till 4am for standard qns like 'tell me more about yourself' and 'why u want to join us' but none came out.
instead the interview requires me to write 2 essays :S

i hope i made it to the 2nd round

2. Interschool Aquathlon
yesterday i represented SIM in the interschool aquathlon challenge.
i was terribly dissappointed with myself for performing so terribly.
i can only attribute my terrible performance to a chain reaction first starting with my goggles.

though i used the new goggles twice in the pool and it did leak a little, i thought it would be ok if i tighten the strap. yesterday, the first few metres i swam using front crawl, the sea water already enter the goggles from the side especially when i turn my head to breathe. so i was inclined to use breast stroke all the way as my goggles didn't leak when i use breast stroke. in fact i breast stroke all the way for 750m. usually i trained doing half of the distance using front crawl first as and when i'm tired then i change to breast stroke.

the worse part is i horlan in the sea, meaning i swam a little bit off course and i had to swim against the current to come back. I guess I wasted quite a bit of time. I had intended to complete the swim in 15minutes but i took 17-18 i think.

Due to my excessive use of breast stroke, my legs totally mabok after the swim already man. Worse still the weather hot like dunno wat at 2+pm. I stopped 5 times during the run not because i out of breath or wat, but because i feel so physically drained.

Not very satisfied with my performance. when i reached home i immediately checked the swim route again and changed the nose bridge for my goggles. So angry with myself!

If i were busy with studying I would proudly say so, unfortunately I have so many other things on hand that I hardly have time for myself!

recently I am quite troubled by my name
I don't mind ppl calling me 志伟, but then it is so common! (and that's not my name)
my name is zhi2 wei2 植维. AT this point please dun associate me with the fat botak from hk because that is a different character and pronunciation altogether.

next my secondary school D&T teacher tiger ong said I had the 'simon' face and decided to call me simon.
But recently, so many ppl tell me this name 'simon' is so old and ah pek!!
Few weeks ago I have started the search for a english name which starts with A.
why A? because I am sick of having my register number to be 30+ just because by surname starts with T. Every time oral exam, ppl already go home, and I am still waiting in the class for my turn..

I came up with the name Ambrose which is immediately condemned by Cherie.

So now I am back to square 1.

Just to share with u my other english names

in Primary 3, I called myself Zack Tay, and in secondary school, my email address was z_tay@hotmail.com and this lamer say my email is zoe tay

In Primary 5, I decided to call myself Steven because of Steven Tan.

and in Sec 3, no choice this tiger ong call me simon.

any advice?
